With a nostalgic Americana sound, Skull Country designs timeless music with historic references and movie like themes.

From the iconic sounds of the gold rush era to the upbeat 1970's funk of the western outlaw scene, Skull Country offers a new take on the classic western sound.

Focused on storytelling and the local history of Calaveras County, Lead Singer, Guitarist & Drummer Nicholas Lefler, Back Up Singer, Guitarist Michael Stange and Bassist Caleb Galvan make up the Skull Country band.   

The band has released 4 Studio Albums (The Sound of the Goldrush, The Widow, Bootleggers featuring the late great Dobro player Max DeLacy and Fiddle Player Austin Broder, and the latest "Wild & Free" released on October 18, 2024.
