With a nostalgic Americana sound, Skull Country designs timeless  music with historic references and movie like themes.

From the iconic sounds of the gold rush era to the upbeat 1970's
Dirty Funk Rock of the western outlaw scene, Skull Country offers a new take on the classic western sound.

Focused on storytelling and the local history of Calaveras County, Lead Singer, Guitarist & Drummer Nicholas Lefler, Back Up Singer, Guitarist Michael Stange and Bassist Caleb Galvan make up the Skull Country band.   

The band has released 3 Studio Albums (The Sound of the Goldrush, The Widow and the new release Bootleggers featuring the late great Dobro player Max DeLacy and Fiddle Player Austin Broder.
The fourth studio album "Wild & Free" is scheduled to be released
Summer 2024.
