Skull Country

With a new western Americana sound, Skull Country designs nostalgic music with historic references and movie like themes.

From the iconic sounds of the gold rush era to the upbeat 1970's funk of the western outlaw scene, Skull Country offers a new generation of storytelling, while also performing lots of timeless classic cover tunes.

Based in Calaveras County, CA, Nicholas Lefler, Michael Stange and Caleb Galvan make up the Skull Country band.   

The band has released 4 Studio Albums (The Sound of the Goldrush, The Widow, Bootleggers featuring the late great Dobro player Max DeLacy and Fiddle Player Austin Broder, and the latest "Wild & Free" released on October 18, 2024.
